Fixing the Mistakes When the HVAC Contractor Installs a New Unit
You expect an HVAC contractor to install your new unit correctly the first time around; unfortunately, this isn’t always the case.
Many HVAC installation projects involve replacing or repairing major ductwork in a home, which can be both time consuming and challenging if crew members must navigate attics or crawlspaces to complete this work.
2. The wrong ductwork
Your home’s ductwork may go unnoticed, but it plays an essential part in its efficiency and comfort. Your ducts deliver air from your heating and cooling systems throughout your home – it should therefore not be taken for granted!
Unless your ductwork is designed and installed appropriately, it may be challenging to achieve adequate heating or cooling throughout your home. This is due to issues such as blockages due to dirt build-up, sharp turns that restrict airflow, or improper sized ducts obstructing proper operation of ducting systems.
An HVAC professional can fix it if your ductwork is not perfectly sized or evenly distributed; even leaking and disconnected sections may need fixing in much the same way you’d repair a dent on a car panel with the aid of a hose and rod – although rectangular ducts tend to be easier for this than spiral ones.
I’m not convinced that comparing fixing ductwork to repairing a car dent is a valid analogy. The two are quite different and may not align with the complexities of HVAC systems.
